New Zealand is an immigrant country . From here you may see all kinds of people , who come from Europe , Africa , India , America , China ,Korean and Australia . Of course , they brings their English here ,such as British English, Korean English, Indian English, Africa English etc . Actually , there are two types of common English , one is standard English ,the other is American English . New Zealand English is close to standard English .
With the increasing of the immigrant amount , A new accent — mixing bowl was created during the daily communication among the mixed people . They influences each other in normal changes, pioneering spirits, national identities, media characters etc .
The content of the accent , mainly are about vowels, diphthongs, disappearing differences, extra syllable, as well as high rising intonation and so on . You may find that some vowels have already changed in New Zealand .
